Basement shelf addition (images display now)
Our 329RLT Mountaineer has an annoying drop in the floor in the basement storage area (on both sides).
I built two platforms (one for each side) from plywood and PVC pipe & fittings that make the floor even all across the basement area.
The shelves are removable for cleaning. And eventual painting...

Nice job Steve.
Hmmm! Now where have I seen that before?
Yours looks nicer. I also liked the idea that you could store items under the shelf, and when sliding things in and out you have a nice flat surface instead of that drop down.
The newer model 5er's are flat all across the basement and it give and additional 6" or so height.

Shoot, just did a search and YOU did the same thing! (Marines always go in first...)
I forgot all about it. Things "upstairs" are moving more slowly nowadays, and I forget a lot of stuff. At least I didn't REPLY to your post and forget about it....!

I have an '06 3400 and I actually like the drop shelf. I keep smaller items in there in three small plastic containers. Also store my chocks and cleaning supplies on curb side and store extra hose and electrical things plus wooden blocks on the street side. That's what makes this forum so great, everyone has great ideas for personalization of their homes.....

The wire mesh closet shelving does great there also. It has a lip on the outer edge to prevent items from sliding off when you open the door. Cable clamps for RG6 coax work good to anchor it with.

I'm with Will! I used the closet wire shelving and turned it upside down so the hanger edge was up thus creating a shelf edge and nothing slides around or off while intransit. I just used the plastic clamps that came with the shelving to anchor mine down and have had no problems with ours at all. No support needed underneath so I can put items all the way across under the shelving all the way across the width of the door opening or lower edge shelf!
