3400RL and bed side clearance

Hi, I just bought an '09 3400RL and am getting an '06 early '07 Chev/GMC 4X4 (where I live I need a 4X4, especially on a dually in winter just to get up to the main road) dually and want it to sit level on the truck (my hitch is very adjustable) My question is, has anyone with a similar truck measured their bed clearance?
My current truck is an '06 2500HD 4X4 D/A and had 7-8" clearance on my old SOB with 16" wheels and know the dually sits higher in the back.
I did put Timbrens on my 2500 and they really helped with the rear sag and ride issues.
Thanks in advance for your responses.

Peter

My dually squats about 2 inches when I hook up and sits level when we travel. I did adjust my fifth wheel hitch so the trailer is level when being towed. At present, I see no reason for air bags or anything else as the trucks suspension handles the load just fine. I have about 6 to 7 inches of bed clearance between truck and trailer.

I don't believe you will have any problem whatsoever. I have about two fists (7") clearance between the bed-rails and the rig with our 4x4 dually. I have made some pretty drastic sharp down-hill mountain curves and the rig has never touched the bed-rails yet.
