Season Ends Here in Michigan

Dec 1 is the end of the season at our favorite campground in Michigan.

Deep Lake Rustic, a divison of Gun lake in Yankee Springs Rec Area.

Doing Rustic camping in the snow gets exciting. With the help of Icehouse I have learned how to make it work.

I also thought it would be a good time for the DW to learn how to drive the new Monty.

Only 120 days before the Campground reopens Until then its camping in the driveway

It seems like a long time till next camping season doesn't it? Come on; was the D/W actually driving in that snow?

That's a great photo!

Wschep, nice picture. I give you Snow campers credit. As long as you enjoy it, its great. For me, I prefer dry or slightly damp pavement.

Gun Lake one of our favs, but, have to say, we always go over to the "powered" campground. But, our boys LOVE Deep Lake and will not camp anywhere else.

Great photo by the way!!

Great photo!

We just made reservations for Xmas time and San Antonio is on the same latitude as Houston, so we like SA and the slightly warmer clime than where you are.

As for Icehouse - you can take all that snow and shovel it right back up to eskimo land!!!

There are advantages (and disadvantages) to living in any region.

One of our advantages is that we have no 'closed season' on using our RV.

We just returned from a 3 day "Thanksgiving" trip to Natchitoches, LA.

Confession: I did 'drain' my water system on return. We do have freezing weather for a night or two, and its easy to refill when we take a notion to hit the road.

We're very envious of all of you who get to enjoy the great weather "elsewheres" - however - the Montana does W O N D E R F U L in the freezing weather - no snow or lots of snow. We're just chained to our business right now BUT someday we'll join the rest of you in warmer climates. THEN let the party begin!!!! The Bellaire weather is what we are sitting in right now....and ITS BEGINNING TO LOOK ALOT LIKE CHRISTMAS!!!! Again -- we're very envious of all you in the warmer climates - but mostly unattached per se to this nasty business world. Enjoy yourselves and know we're dreaming of your lives!!! Cyndie
118 days till April 1!!!!
