Awnings-push button retractable

We have a 2009 10th Anniversary with the push switch on the panel with other switches and the remote control to run the awning in and out. We cleaned the awning (as it was filthy) and as we were running it back in we used the switch on the inside panel to run it in a few inchs at at time to clean it. Now the inside switch on the panel does not work. Thank goodness the remote control works. Does anyone have any idea why the inside panel switch does not work?

I would guess that when your remote is energized it locks out your control panel switch. I know that your right side scare light can only be turned off with the remote if it is turned on with the remote.

I talked about a similar situation a few weeks ago. My remote button got pushed and it turned on our scare light on the door side. I didn't realize what had happened and could not turn it off at the switch panel.
I believe there was another post about a " remote" control override on another item on a trailer. We need to realize that apparently the remote over rides the functionality of the switch panel. If the remote turns it on , the remote has to turn it off.

deerrahn...did you ever solve your awning switch problem? I too am having an issue. Works fine with the remote but not the inside panel.

Have you checked your fuse box, the awning is DC powered so that would be the first place I would check. Keep in mind when you check the fuse, the circuit needs to be activated for the fuse indicator light to light to identify an open. Press the wall switch and check the fuse indicator lights at the same time. Other than that, the switch might have failed, they are not the most technologically advanced switches.

There is a circuit board located behind the switch on the panel. We have an 08 and some how the board got fried last year. The only thing I could see that it did was to prevent you from running it one way and trying to go the other with the switch. The board cost around $40 if I remember right. I bypassed the board and have been using it over a year without any problems. Hope that helps.
