That looks interesting. A lot cheaper than a Rotwiler chained to the generator.

For $60, I don't think it's worth it. I don't think that looks like much of a security device, it may slow them down for about 10 extra seconds if you ask me. Just my opinion.

This is about the most secure set-up that I have seen. >>>

Are those allen keyed bolts holding it on?

I'd like to see something like a 1/8th thick stainless steel band about 3 inches wide that is shaped to mount around the Honda, top to bottom like a belt around your waist. This would include a heavy guage D link to pass a lock through. The link could be positioned under the handle making it a little more difficult to cut with a bolt cutter. A lock would pass through the D link and a chain link or security cable. Of course if the thief is carrying a good bolt cutter, they would go after the chain or cable. I'm surprised some company hasn't marketed a series of generator theft deterrent accessories. There must be a better way.
The one KTManiac displayed looks much more secure

Something like this?

The security bolts are covered by another piece of stainless that is locked such that it prevents a thief from tampering with the bolts. However, if they want my gens bad enough I will file an insurance claim.

I think that it is all welded, with the rod going through two holes in the vertical strap parts. The rod looks to have a padlock on the back side.

Here is something more like what you mentioned. >>>

It appears to be a clam shelled strap with a padlock at the top of the straps.

That's another good example.
Regarding the allen keyed bolts, I was referring to the link from Ozz showing a bracket that is bolted to the handle. Sorry, I should have quoted Ozz with my comment.

Thieves typically cut the handles, where most owners loop a security cable, because a new case is a small cost compared to the eventual sale of what becomes a new Honda generator.

Nothing is theft-proof; our intention is to slow the casual to moderate thief down enough that they decide that ours our not worth the effort or the potential for being caught in the act.

This solution is the shiznit!

You can haul it on the back your truck too. It fits in the receiver.

Great ideas! Sue will appreciate not having to sit in a lawn chair with the Mossberg now.

Saw a homemade contraption that was basically a metal plate that was attached to the bottom of the generator at the rubber feet screws, they had attached the plate to the bottom of the generator with a hinge on the side of the plate that could be placed under a tire.

The purpose of the hinge was to fold and store it easily.

You need to get that girl a good shotgun, but I guarantee the one she has WILL work, every time.

Yes sir, Pistol grip; took the bamboo shell limiter out, holds max shells possible. I have a bandelero with 00 and slugs attached to it.
