Big Sky--prices, availability--& photos

Talked to a rep at Keystone and was told there are only 3 Big Sky units in existence at present--all prototypes--and all are on their way to different RV shows. Montana won't start manufacturing Big Skys until at least one week after the factory reopens on January 8. So units won't start showing up at dealers until early February at the earliest, and more likely in late February. I got 7 photos of the interior of the Big Sky which I believe were taken while it was on display at the dealers' show in Kentucky last month. They are posted in a separate entry lower down on this page. Note some really nice looking features, including a nice looking "marbled" shower, a four door, 12 cubic foot residential frig with wooden panels on the frig doors, a dinette table attached to the wall rather than sitting on a pedestal, a 32" LCD TV on a slide tray, and a 30" OTR residential convection microwave oven.

I also just obtained the 11/1/2006 retail price sheet for the Big Sky. Shows the following MSRP prices: 340 RLQ--$59,670; 350 RLQ--$61,050; 360 REQ--$59,670. All the "upgrades" listed on the Big Sky webpage have been split up among the following three "manditory" options at the following MSRP prices--Big Sky Premium Pkg--$10,845; Big Sky Value Pkg--$3,095; Comfort and Convenience Group--$4,650. So that means that the MSRP for the 340 RLQ with these three manditory options comes to $78,260. I've had a dealer noted for giving good prices who has quoted me the following out-the-door price (including prep, freight, title fee and documents) for the 340 RLQ with these three manditory options--$50,700. That's 35% off the MSRP.

David,

$50K out the door for the new Big Sky sounds like a great deal! I have a feeling we will be seeing the new Big Sky behind your Ford in the near future.

For that kind of price I hope you put down a deposit because you may not get that kind of offer again.

David you are just too good. Thank you for your posting - really great information. Can hardly wait to see a model in person - the Big Sky sure looks nice along with an exterior color scheme that will look really good behind our TV. Group orders anyone????

Happy to see they moved the right rear speaker from the kitchen table to the end of the sofa. One of the little things I hate in my coach.

After 3 years of asking for it, I am very excited to finally see a window in the watercloset!
Also happy to see the red rear marker light on the back corner of the coach. Thanks for listening Keystone!!!!

Sorry to see the exterior decal package that was chosen. Sure liked the "other" choice that was seen at the rally tour of the factory. Was really hoping the "hitch view mirror" on the front cap would have been done away with.

David and Jo-Anna, thanks for the neat info. The price you were talking about seems real good to us. I know what richfaa paid for his 3400 and the price on the 340RLQ sounds like a very good deal. Happy with our paid for 3280, but it sure makes you take notice!

Good question Broome. It almost looks like the gold color would have to be painted, as there is so much of it.

From the two page product brochure on the Keystone web site, looks like a lot of new standard features.... Rear power jacks, selective slide valves, power awning, and LCD TV, central vac, nice.... Tim

Thats too bad Montana Sky - that is a lot of surface area for decals, and over several different finishes (cargo doors, lower metal plate, etc.)

Hmmmmm - Just talked to my Dealer and they have a Big Sky coming in end of January. They are willing to talk if I'm interested in lieu of our pending 3400RL due in January. They ordered one Big Sky for inventory to see how it will do. They typically did not move the previous Big Sky as well as the Montana just because of the demographics.

Decisions - Decisions.
