Microwave and Surround Sound ???

Well we were using out Dometic Microwave on our last outing and the thing just stoped, and by that I mean the light comes on the table turns, it just doesn't heat things up any more. is there an internal fuse inside for the exciter??? I thought I'd ask before I dismanteled the darn thing.
Next is the Surround Sound system, Radio/Amp/CD/DVD player, Is there a unit out there that has the same funtions but works as advertised. At Reno there was a Samsung installed in a rig and I got all the info from the owner but it got lost in the paperwork.
Can I get some feedback on these two items please.

Thanks.

There may well be a fuse inside the microwave, (we used to have one that did, and I have seen "microwave fuses" for sale in hardware stores. (Be careful! There is usually one bid capacitor in there that stores enough energy to do real harm, just unplugging the unit won't make it safe to work on.)

Surround sound: You may be able to get the somewhat improved "Quest 3000" through your dealer or Keystone, but if you are really into sound, you might better get someone who cares to advise you. (As long as I can hear the news and weather, I don't really care whether the sound surronds me or not).

Don, go buy a Sony system and have real sound. We did, works great and we get AM/FM which we could not with the Q. Sold the Q for $5 at a garage sale.
Happy trails...........................

Don,

Another solution is to completely revamp the sound system. I just did and am very happy with the result. I used the speaker wire Keystone installed for the rear speakers to keep from tearing up the walls and ceiling. But for the front three speakers (which were within inches of each other), I've spaced their replacements out as much as the 2955 allows (which is not much) and have short runs of speaker wire to them. If you're inclined, you can temporarily remove the television from the cabinet and access its various video inputs. A separate AVR (audio video receiver), DVD player and Tivo (or satellite receiver) will give you a full spectrum of video and audio alternatives. There have been several recent threads about replacing the Quest. If you're not inclined to go with separate components, Ed's suggestion of a Sony system is a good one. Those systems are called "home theaters in a box" or "HTIB." Costco has several different brands with differing size and audio qualities. Most audio/video retailers carry them, as do many online retailers. I'd suggest you listen to several before making a purchase, as the quality of the sound differs greatly.
