Keyless RV Lock

Looking at this keyless RV entry lock and wondering if anyone has one or have seen this first hand?

http://rvlock.com/index.html

Wondering if anyone found an keyless paddle latches for the compartments?

We're going in for Level-Up before the Rally and Lippert is putting their version on while we're there.

We have that lock on our SOB. Came with the outside keypad and I ordered two key fobs. Works great, but you really need to keep a key hidden outside somewhere incase of a failure with it. The unit in the door runs on, I think 2 AAAs and the outside keypad is a coin cell. So far we like the system.

Looks like a good system but is the price worth making the change? A key works well!

I'll pass. The door frame on these unit won't hold up to a good pry bar anyway, so instead of replacing stolen contents, you're also going to have to replace the door and door frame too when someone breaks in. Unless of course they sneak in through the basement, in which case this wouldn't work anyway.

Save your money for something really cool like a beanie cap with a propeller.

My unit came with a keyless entry and to this day I have never used it. Agree with Tom on this one.

Make it three. We have a key fob for our MH that unlocks one of the main door locks and the basement locks. We never use the fob for the door lock because the other lock is a dead bolt so we have to use the key anyhow. Plus, it's easier to carry the keys than the larger key fob. Locking/unlocking the basement locks is great.

Thanks for all the feedback. I guess our biggest concern and always has been that we all have pretty much the same keys or close to it and it does not take a rocket scientist to determine which one fits.

Yes the common door is no match for a crow bar, but then again what is. If you are up against this kind of thief nothing will stop him. We have already started designing a lockable lid to prevent passage from the underside compartment and will hopefully post some photos of the design and install when we get around to it.

Not quite decided yet on the lock but if we do go with it we will note the install and pass our comments along.

In the end we are looking to at least stop the potential lazy thief with a set of master keys looking for a quick grab.
