Two slide awnings and no leaks on our 1999 model.....but the big one over the couch does get a big puddle when it rains and it will create a big mess if you bring in the slides without emptying the puddle on the awning first.

Anyone know how to increase the tension on the awning so it stops puddling?

Carefree of Colorado Topper - Pull the arm on the tension side (side where bead retention channel is widened) out far enough to turn counter clockwise (attach vise grips first). Be careful, there will be tension on the arm. Turn it a few times and test. Just installed new topper material on 2 out of 3 slides. Did the other one last year.

Slide toppers= Y Leaks = N

Last 5th slide toppers never had a leak but hated the flapping when windy, liked not having to sweep slide roofs, like not having to replace toppers when they tear as my first ones did. Current 5th no slide toppers no leaks, occasionally have to clean top of slides. Pros and Cons
