John, our destinations are very close, IL, IA, VA, but our timing is off. We're gonna have to work on that! We just pulled in to a KOA near Fredericksburg, VA, on our way to Williamsburg. The park is nice but it's six miles off I-95. There aren't many stopovers between DC and Newport News.

Have a safe and wonderful trip!

John, Looks like you're heading south as we are heading north, sorry we'll miss you. Safe Travels....

Judy & Glen, Where, and for how long, will you be in Williamsburg area? We are at the Thousand Trails park in Gloucester, just north of Williamsburg on 198 (off 17). We will be here until the 7th of July then move north to DC.

Judy, we took our granddaughters to that park a few years ago, for a week. We stayed for a month. Part of that time they had a state ordered quarantine on their water because of some spill or something in the area. I don't remember the reason. Otherwise it was a decent park, but, as you said, off the beaten path.

John, are you at Camp Lakewood in Effingham? We've stayed there a couple of times including a week last year. We like the park. Hope you are enjoying your trip.

Phil and Cathy, sorry we missed you! We're meeting ourselves coming and going this week as our grandchildren and sons are here. We don't leave until July 13th. Have to recover from all the activities!

Yes, Brian and Vanessa were in Australia with Ann and me. They are great people and doing a nice job with this Campground. I highly recommend it.

What a small world. We spent a week in that park this last time and have been there overnight a couple of times. We also highly recommend the park. I don't recall the names of the managers our last visit but it very well could have been Brian and Vanessa if they were there last October 24-31, 2008. In Vicki's notes she commented on how nice the management is and she only comments about management in her notes if they were exceptionally good or bad.
