Hydraulics Update on 2015 3442RL
I noticed that last fall when we parked the trailer on the drive way I had a small leak, couple of drops per day coming from the middle street side jack area under the kitchen slide. Once during he winter the kitchen slide came out about 3 inches. Powered up the Montana and backed the slide in and never happened again. We have an extended warranty on the trailer, so I took it to my dealer. Remember I watch things very close, like the reservoir for the hydraulic pump. Never really noticed it going down. Bottom line when they dropped the cloroplast belly, ten lines needed to be replaced all of them were leaking at the fitting connection! What does that tell you about OEM parts on our Montana's.
I am glad I followed my guts instinct and also that we had the extended warranty.

Interesting! I just had to have 2 out of 3 hydraulic cylinders rebuilt because of internal seal leakage. I also replaced the hydraulic pump within the last year. All hoses and fittings still seal tight, no leaks since 2002.

Just had the cylinder on the door side kitchen slide replaced because of leak around the seal. The leak was actually running down the coroplast onto the foot for the middle hydraulic jack, which made me think originally that the jack was the leak.

Considering that our unit is a 2015 I would say you got better than average life out of the OEM lines used for the hydraulic system...
I hope you have new lines installed that were 2 wire hydraulic hose instead of going right back with the Lippert OEM lines and JIC37 fittings...
I have replaced one long line to one of my main slide outs and one to my mid leveler on the drivers side... both were return lines
NAPA made each one for me in about ten minutes. Wife and I installed them, added AW32 fluid and ran the system a few cycles to purge the air out... not a difficult job

What is the working pressure on the hydraulic pumps? I thought I'd seen everything, but have never before seen hydraulic hoses that had no wire braid reinforcement.

The working PSI on the Lippert hydraulic is around 2200 psi.. The Lippert OEM non conductive hose is rated at 3000 psi... The 2 wire hyd hose I used is rated at well above 3500 psi..
