No electric on rear or big slide side of 3400

I have no electric on the rear or the big slide side of my Montana 3400. It is a 2007 Big Sky 3400. I have checked the breakers and they are all right. Is there a gfci plug in on that curcit that I have over looked? Please help. 760-417-1237

Your thought of a GFCI is on track. The only other thought is to recheck every circuit breaker to make sure you did not think it was ok but actually tripped.

I have an '06 3400 and the GFCI covers all boxes in the big slide, including the one outside. My GFCI reset is in the kitchen, above the counter, next to the stove, near the spice cabinet. Hope this helps. If it is not the GFCI, you might want to look at the junction box under the slide, OR the plug for the refer in the back on the outside. I had my trailer washed once and they sprayed water in the back of the refer and it got that plug wet, It tripped my GFCI and it would not come back on until I took a hair dryer to the socket and dried it out. Had a similar problem with all the ceiling lights not working in the big slide. I checked the switches and had no power at the switch and all 12V circuit breakers were OK. Ended up being a chaffed wire (inside the under belly) up in bottom of the big slide.

My 05 3400 lost power to both 12v and 120 lights at the desk along side the entertainment center. 120 plug works as well as all else in tv center.
Still haven't found the problem.

Also check all the wires at the load center/breaker panel; hot, ground and neutral. I checked mine and many of the screws were very loose. No wires out, but I think it was just a matter of time.

Thanks everybody all sounded good, but no results. The gfci by the spice cabinet does the kitchen side of rv. I can't find one on the back or big slide side of rv. From the washmachine plug to the rear of trailer dont work. Thanks for all the replys. Sanford

By chance is the outside receptacle on the large slide a GFCI. In addition, previous postings on the forum have alluded to that receptacle being prone to water infiltration which causes the GFCI to trip. Just a thought.

My next choice is to pull each outlet and light if so effected and check for a loose wire. Be safe.

Also the back air conditioner dont work. If that gives anybody any new ideas. I have not found a gfci plug on that side or outside of the trailer. Cant get a repairman out here. We are headed to Spokan on Tues. the 13th I guess I will try over there. Any help would be appreciated.

This may be a wild guess. but it sounds like you only have one leg of the 50 amp available. A quick check is to plug into a 30 amp receptacle and see if everything works. If it does, then the problem is in the pedestal and not in the rig.

Bingo that was the same thought I had. Along those lines I suggest resetting the Main dual breaker on the panel.
Be safe testing the voltages with a multi meter.

Bingo, Bingo! My thought as well - only one leg connected.

You can also check the two outlets in the pantry or wherever your washer and dryer hookups are. One outlet is on one leg, the other outlet on the other leg.

I had a similar problem and found a broken wire under the rear of the slide in the cable chase.
