Boston

We are at the Boston Minuteman Campground near Boston. THis is a very nice campground and the owners are very nice. even come get your propane tank, fill it and bring it back to you. If in the area stop by--we are gone much of the day sightseeing as we have never been to Boston before

Paul & Jan, We stayed there last year and had a great time visiting Boston. Our only problem was the sap from the trees getting all over everything. Went thru two bottles of rubbing alcohol while there trying to get it all off. I am still trying to get it off. Hope you don't have this problem yourself. When I arrived, my electric box was old and falling apart, I told the owner and he had a new one in place in about 20 minutes. No problems after that. Have a good time...

Good to know! We will be going to the Boston area toward the end of August to take our son to school and we hope to travel there in the Montana. We hadn't started seriously looking for campgrounds yet but this one sounds good! Are reservations recommended? Thanks for your input.

I travelled the East coast last year and we had reservations at every CG we stayed in. Highly recommended during the summer months, remember, most CG's in the NE are only open during the tourist season hence, the need for reservations. Many locals use these parks also........

We also stayed at Boston Minuteman last summer and concur with Phil about having reservations in the East.

Yes for reservations--campground seems to be full tonight--we went to see Plymouth Rock today and just got back a little while ago--decided to go down to Cape Cod too.--we had the most delicious seafood we have ever had.

Phil--we are under trees with leaves--no pine trees.

there is a Montana parked next to us--will try to talk to them tomorrow

this campground is only 3 miles from the commuter train station--a little further to the subway (45 minutes) but the campground has directions for anywhere you might want to go and are VERY helpful. the traffic is heavy and of course there is road construction some places.

We used the train station there to get into Boston. Quite convenient. Glad to hear about the trees, hopefully too early for sap. The JFK Museum/Library is fantastic.....Have a great time!!!!!
