MAMalody,
We have an automatic program that precludes certain words from being posted. That is probably what caused the "edit" you are referring to. I assume you are referring to the
"*****cat". If it is not that then I don't know what you are talking about.

The automatic program can cause some really weird situations. Sorry about that.

My experience, My dealer here in Oregon gave me a price of $65,000 for our 06 Monte 3400 (loaded). I went on line to the dealer near the factory and was quoted $44,000. I e-mailed 7 dealers in 4 states and the Durango, CO dealer matched the $44,000 with the same upgrades. I didn't want to drive thru Chicago but the drive to Durango was nice and easy with lots of nice scenery. It took me 6 months on the computer and I never gave out my phone number. Good Luck!

Pat,

How have you handled any of the little adjustments that a new unit needs, any warranty work or general service? Everyone says that the dealer you buy from is important after the sell because of these issues.

I shopped around and showed the best offer to my local dealer and said "match it". They did matched it!

Good luck in your search for the "good deal".

RVWheels, thank you for clearing up the editing mystery. Poor program you are using, however, thanks for the info. I appreciate it.

Grant,
We winter at Pacific City, OR and took the 5er to a dealer in Dayton, and had some warrenty work done. This summer, see post, our power converter went out and a dealer in Bend, OR replaced it. Thankfully it was within the two year warrenty. I haven't had any problem and hopefully won't. People on the road aren't always near the dealer where they purchased their 5er at. Patrick Ferguson

Bob and Lee, go to Suncoast RV in Cocoa, Florida www.suncoastRV.com, they post their asking price on all their units on line. Their number is 321-504-6500, they also have a toll free number 877-689-3657, ask for Lou or Jamie the Manager. They gave me a good deal on a 3400RL with my trade in of a 2955RL, my 3400 should be in next week. They are just a couple of yards off I-95.

Old GI is RIGHT you won't get a better deal or dealer.
We bought ours in June and love it.
Do shop around then talk to them
they will go the extra for YOU

I need some help, I have really P*** off 3 dealers, I mightnot understand the nogotiation part of this deal, so here it is. Is there a differance in the % off if it is a trade not cash? now here is what I have been doing. the 3400 on the retail price sheet he had was $64,320 for my trade $37,320 Diff $27,018.. I offered him 30% $45,024 Diff $7,704+what I owe $6,482= $14,204 to finance. Is what Iam thinking wrong, are the discounts only on cash sales? Do I need to sell and then deal..?

OK reference the last message, I got a call from a dealer this morning in Flordia, If I trade for the 3400 the price is $56,909 my trade is $36, 040 Diff $21,749 +$395 Prep Total to finance $22,144 and no thought of a discount so I asked a cash price they said $44,000 So in that light Iam to think if you trade you pay full retail and if you pay cash you get thousands of, correct?

Bottom line is if you trade they'll kill you...just like a vehicle. I sold my TT on eBay and got 50% more than the dealer was going to give me in a trade. Sell the old one yourself if at all possible.
