Fantastic Fan
I just noticed that the cover on my fantastic fan has a crack that has started at the hinge and is moving to the center of the lid. Made a call fantastic vent company they ask what year and make and said a new one is on its way. Its nice knowing that some company's really do stand behind thier product. Roman

You got that right. I called them as well because the lids stuck all of the time. They sent me the new seal kits and even authorized the dealer to install them even though the coach was out of factory warranty. Good company and superior customer service.

Great Company! Like tweir, my vent was always sticking. one call and 7 days later I received the gasket, a BIG tube of adhesive, complete instructions and a nice note telling me why it stuck. they had a bad batch of rubber gaskets, that reacted with the adhesive and plastic cover both! has since been taken care of. They even thanked me for my patience and understanding! WOW!, how often do get thathese days Shades of old fashioned customer care and service!

Has anyone put one of the MaxxAir covers on their Fantastic Fan? They make a special one to cover it but I wondered if it would eliminate some of the benefits of the Fantastic Fan.

Hi Mac,
I put the Maxair cover for Fantastic Fans over our Fan and it seems to work ok.
The Vent cover doesn't open quite as far as it used to but you can now use it in the rain.
And on the West Coast that is important.

I spoke with the people from Fantastic Fan at the rally in Daytona. The say DO NOT put a cover on/over their units as it reduces it's effectiveness considerably. My friend had them add a rain sensor kit to his Fantastic fan and they removed the cover he had previously installed. This a FYI straight from the manufacture.

Steve,
Thanks for the information! I already have a rain sensor on mine, I think it's standard from Montana these days, maybe even from Fantastic Fan. I was just curious because it seemed like it might reduce the effectivness of the units.
As always, great place to get great information.

Fanastic fan also replaced our vent cover as the lift mechanism was broken off the plastic vent cover. A new one was given to me by the dealer down here in FL while we were on vacation. No Charge. Good company.

While in Daytona I spoke with a person at the Fantastic booth and told them about my cover sticking all the time. Their answer was to give me 3 sample packets of 303. If anyone knows the phone number for Fantastic, could you polese pass it along, Thanks

The phone# for Fantastic Vent is (810)724-3818. Or toll free is (800)521-0298. They are only about 20 miles away from where we live but I called them and two days later I had my seals. We have two fans and they both stick.

The Fantastic Vent people have been fantastic. I had two issues with my '05 3400. First, the cover broke at the attachment for the operating mechanism. They had me a new cover within a day. Then, we got one of the bad batch of seals and they sent out the new seal, adhesive and some lubricant. They have an unofficial lifetime warranty on their fans. I know my next unit will have a Fantastic Vent.

We did account wanting to keep rain out when using them. They work just fine and the fans still move a lot of air. The cover is very important in the bathroom ... yes I know I can turn off the rain shutdown but I can't turn off the rain and there are times that fan must work rain or shine.

A much less than intelligent question
Thanks in advance for your help. I don't want to hijack this thread but I am wondering how to tell if my Fantastic Fan will control the temperature in my RV? I can't get it to do that and my last Montana worked perfectly so I am at a loss.
The other question I have is where do I go to post this or any question as a new thread?

Go to the proper section you want to post in. On the top left corner of that section, it will have a small box stating "new thread",click that and post away.
