Branson, Mo

[/B]Heading from No. California to Branson, arriving there about Sept 15. Current planning is a liesurely 18 days to get there via Int. 80. Plan to spend 4 days there, but could extend if that's not sufficient. Looking at an RV park called Musicland, but haven't made any reservations yet. Suggestions?

Been several years but we also stayed at the KOA and would again. About half mile off the strip where most of the shows are. And just off the yellow route. Check the Branson color route map for easier navigation during heavier traffic times to bypass driving on the strip. The KOA has multiple site price levels from smaller backins to larger pull thrus to premium patio sites.

Ditto on the KOA. We like to stay up on the terraced hill area. They used to provide shuttle service to most of the shows, but was not available our last trip.

We've stayed at Branson Lakeside RV Park twice and would go back again. It's down next to Branson Landing a bit away from the continual insane summer traffic along the main drag. Some sites are a bit close to one another, but there is a nice shower house along with friendly and helpful staff. There is a shuttle bus that stops at the park to take you on a dedicated route around the downtown area. Some sites are shady, some are full sun.

We too have stayed at the KOA and loved it. I have also driven through Musicland and it is extremely tight and built on a good hill. Another few we have stayed at and liked was the Branson View campground and Table Rock State park

Have a great time!

Table Rock state park is were we like to stay, has full hook ups, it isn't in town and would need to get on sight and reserve spot. You will have to drive a little ways. 50 amp and is 28 a night.

Good info, Jeff. Even though it is personal opinion, it is good to hear from a local the shows that are worthy of revisiting. Have seen 4 of those. Will have to look at the others next trip.

I would recommend the state park at Table Rock Lake if you don't want to be in town it's only about a ten minute drive to the traffic jam downtown. Ha
If you are in Silver Dollar City during the month of October stop by and say Hi.
I am one of the visiting artist/craftsmen, I will be at my wood turning booth demonstrating my craft.
