Flush mount windows
This is our first time experiencing the flash mounted widows. Though they look nice from the outside, the functionality is not very good. We like fresh air whenever possible and are getting very little with these crank type windows.
Is anyone else experiencing problems or is it just us?

They don't open very wide. We turn ceiling vents on to help move air

We would agree one needs to use a ceiling fan to draw the air in.

That's what we do but it's just not the same. Windows wide open with fresh air coming in and no noisy fans can't be beat.

By ceiling fan, you must mean the powered vents, not the actual "fan" that is in the living area? Yes, agree that the new flush windows aren't quite as nice for opening/air as the old style. However, if there's a wind blowing, you'd be surprised at how much air comes through that opening. Also, opening up the main door, and using the screen there helps as well. If you come back to a closed up, hot trailer, and it's cool outside, one item one tends to forget about is the range hood. It has a fan on it as well, and vents to the outside (if you remember to open the flaps ) which helps too. Adjust fan speed as needed. Granted it will be a bit noisy!

Yes I meant the powered ceiling vent.
On the plus side though with these windows being the awning type they can be left open on rainy days.

When a manufacturer says something is improved you need to know, for who. Most of the time it's for the manufacturer not you.

So what is not to like? Especially from the outside they are just so easy to clean and on the inside we find the larger screens much easier to remove and reinstall. Plus the crank is easier to open/close than the sliding version.

We do not have them but they are a much nicer look. I thought leaking might be a issue but that does not seem to be the case.

We have what you are referring to frameless windows. Love the look no ventilation problems either, like Rich said they do look nice and no leak problems.

All of the above benefits and drawbacks are true. One other benefit is that in many cases they can be left open in the rain. We also have some of the slider windows in the side of the slides which can provide a nice cross breeze.
