moreride spring box bent
My center mounting on my leaf springs on one side is bent inward. I have read about braces that are produced and sold to correct this. Can someone give me more info on this and where do I purchase them?

They are called the X-Factor and are sold by MorRyde. May want to check to make sure there are no broke welds. I copied the X-Factor braces ,and put them at all three points

Just my take here ... the X Factor will not fix something that is already bent. You will have to get the spring box with the rubber snubber inside straightened before you install the X Factor as the X Factor is but a brace rod. I too made my own center beam about a year ago ... one length of square tube and a 1/4" plate welded on each end with a bolt pattern to match the spring boxes. @$40.00 including paint.
On edit ... sorry, I asumed you were talking about the newer LRE 4000 suspension ... still what I said still holds true no matter the design.

You may want to determine if your MorRyde suspension does not have too much flex.

John-- You didn't say what year you unit is. If it is a newer one you might be under warranty for the unit and have it covered under it.

My Montana is a 2007 3475 RL. I am a retired pipefitter and welder. I think I can get it fixed but was hoping to see what is on the market before I start fabricating anything. How common is this problem? It seems a lot of people know about it. I will be contacting moRyde tomorrow.

How bent is it, I have seen some that just have not been welded on very straight, have a slight angle to them, same goes for the end spring hangers.

I am guessing but I would think ab9ut 8 degrees. It made a noticible distorsion to the frame. I used my tractor and a come-along and straighted it. Frame looks much better now. I made a strong brace better than MorRydes and installed it. I think I will do the same to the front and rear shackles but lighter. There is not as much leverage there. Thanks for all the quick replys.

While you are under there I would gusset the front and back spring hangers also. Several folks had the hangers break off the frame. most used the same basic design, a rectangular plate to fill in the open end of the hanger and welded on with a triangle plate between the frame and new end cap of the hanger. These were usually done at the same time as the bracing of the center box...
