Yellow "stains" on inside ceiling of new 2955RL?

We have had our Monty about 5 months and were just clening and noticed very light yellow stains on the ceiling in serveral places and on almost every seam strip. Wipes off with some hard scubbing with organge cleaner. Seems to be too many to be a leak. Any ideas on what this is and what to do about it?

It might be some kind of glue or adhesive left from the assembly process.

What you are experiencing is glue/adhesive leeching thru ceiling and in most cases it will not come off. Our ceiling has the same problem, all over. The only real fix is to repaint the ceiling. In your case you are still under warranty...take it back and have them correct the entire ceiling. RE: painting. Can't remember who, but someone here on MOC repainted the entire ceiling and it turned out perfect. Maybe he will see this and tell us what he used.

I have that same problem in the bathroom of my new 3000RK 08 model but I was able to remove it fairly easy.

Also if you have it on the moulding and various other areas it could be putty from when they covered the nails. It will smear and they wipe it but not 100%.

I have a 2007 3000RK and the yellow is all over the ceiling near the entertainment center. I have scrubbed and scrubbed to no avail. I am almost out of warranty but I am going to make an appointment to get it checked out before the experation date.

We have small round rusty spots showing through where fasteners hold on the strips of wood on the ceiling. Ours is an older model and I'm sure humidity and A/C operation has someething to do with it over time. I successfully covered them with "White-out" correction fluid. There's a brush in the lid like nail polish.

I never really had that on the ceiling, but I think I saw some around the commode a few times.

Sorry! Just couldn't resist.

Take it to the dealer before you run out of warranty,I waited to long and it next to impossible to get them off.I plan on painting the ceiling on a fairly new Monty.

Another possibility - do you smoke inside the rig or burn candles? We had this problem in our prior Montana (2003 model) when burning candles. In cool weather the aluminum trusses in the roof would get condensation. The candle smoke accumlated on that condensation and we had a striped ceiling. We never got them fully cleaned off although we got most of it. Smokeless candles still smoke some so that didn't stop it. Now we use a candle warmer. No smoke. Also, this 2007 has steel trusses rather than aluminum. I'm not sure if that eliminates or reduces the problem or not.

Yours might be the glue as noted above but this is another possibility if you are seeing strips rather than spots.
