32" LCD HDTV Install
Finally got pics of TV install, thought I would share. Upper shelf was reinforced with a piece of 5/8" plywood. Best Buy did the TV and arm and I had a finish carpenter do the work on the cabinet. I am pretty happy with it.
New TV Installed (Bose Cube Speakers added)
Another Pic
Pulled Out Facing Rear
Pulled Out Facing Dinette
Pic of Mounting Arm
Yamaha 7.1 surround sound Amp/Receiver with added Bose speakers behind rear recliners and DirecTV HD Receiver and Samsung DVR.
TV will set back about 4 inches from frame when travelling and is covered with towels and a pillow placed in front and a 1 inch lashing strap is tightened around arm brace and TV. So far works great.....

That looks like a nice install Phil!
Does the TV ride any better than the original install? I know ours is not real sturdy in the original factory install of the 27" flat screen with the bottom sliding bracket.

Hi Phil, Nice job. Looks very professional.
One question I have is cabinet space above the TV, where the Amp/Rcvr and DirecTV Rcvr etc are located. Do you have any kind of fan or vent system. I know my HD DVR runs real warm and cannot be enclosed or it will shut off for Over Temp. Just curious.
Merry Christmas to you & Cathy.

Brad, When I removed the factory tv, I noticed the top screw was broken off. The current one is secured pretty good and does not ride on anything, so I think it rides better.
Don, I have a 3 1/2 inch computer fan that I am going to install on the upper left side of the cabinet and plug it into the "Switched" plug of the Receiver, just need to get a "round tuit"
garyka, It is an HP LC3272N from Best Buy. Reread post for travel question.
I am happy with it so far......

Waldo, think it was a 26 or 27 inch. Size was not the real issue but I wanted an HDTV and wanted to get rid of Quest equipment before they went kaput....Went with the HP because of the outside dimensions and somewhat lower price than the others.......Mine is a 720 as oppossed to a 1080. I was told by several TV gurus that you can't really see discernible difference with a 1080i in a 32 inch screen. Made sense to me.....

I have a new 08 3000RK which came with a 27" 1080I Viewsonic in the living room and I was thinking of putting that one on a slide out in the basement and another one in the living room. Did you have to cut the hole bigger to fit the new one?

Nice install! Did you have to run wires for speakers into a slideout? If so, did they just run with the electrical for the lights and outlets? I have a 32" HDTV with a built in DVD and a home theater setup just waiting for warmer weather to install them.

Van Man, the installers did not know how to go through the slide so my speaker wires are exposed along the flooring and then run up next to the rear windows under the curtain and then into the overhead cabinet and down to the speaker mounted at the rear of the cabinet. I left the two factory installed speakers and will replace these with the Bose cubes as time goes on..... I would like to permanently install these wires when I can find someone that knows how to do that....Sounds great!!!!
