suburban SW 12 DEL water heater issue

We completely lost hot water (both electric and gas) tonight. It worked fine this morning. I tried the two reset buttons on the tank and nothing (water in tank was cold already). Checked circuit breaker and it's good.

Any ideas?

Jim,

Sounds like it may be a card failure on the back of the heater.

Thanks AZ. After talking with some other folks I tend to agree. Everyone says it's rare for both 110v electric and gas to both go out unless it's the board.....

Not sure if this will help, but on your inside control panel, are the switches that control the gas and the electric functions of the water heater lighted? If not, maybe you have lost 12 volts to the panel, which would probably turn off both the gas and electric functions of the water heater. Also, if that is not the problem, here is a link to troubleshooting the Suburban water heaters. https://manuals.heartlandowners.org/...ban%20V1.3.pdf

I agree with Bob. I think the only common item between electric and propane is the 12 volts. That is where I would look first.
