Removal of Viewsonic TV to check cables

We have a new 2007 Montana with a HD Viewsonic TV with a receiver in cabinet above - we can't get our DVDs to play - the sound comes through but no picture - we suspect that one of the cables is not connected between receiver and TV - does anyone know how we can remove the TV carefully to check cables in the rear - Jill Gomery

You have go into the input on the TV remote and select one of the options and try each one for different feeds. I believe they use the optical cables to hook up the DVD. I am still trying to feed the TV through the sound system.

hook man,
I did the following to play the TV sound through the sound system. You can purchase a new set of audio cables or what I did was take the audio cables from the DVD outlet (which run to the tv input since I turn down the TV speakers when I am using the surround sound anyway). I then connected the audio cables between the TV out jacks and the DVD Aux in jacks. Now when just watching the TV I can turn on the DVD player, select AUX as the function and the TV sound plays through the Surround Sound.
