Florida RV Campgrounds

We are thinking about spending our winters in Florida with our camper. Anyone have any experience with the campgrounds around Arcadia or Sebring Florida? Any other WARM places in Florida that you would recommend?

Lots of nice warm spots down here at this time of the year, although it is going to get cold down here this weekend. Actually the weather forecasters in Ft. Myers are saying there could be a freeze this weekend inland.

That said, you will need to start looking as soon as possible. Places down here in January and February are at a premium.

The Naples area has quite a few parks, although there are a couple that are 55 + with age and size limits of the unit. There is also a park down here that unless your rig cost over 500K you can't get in the gate.

Probably the best thing would be to grab a Woodall's and start calling.

gkbutler pretty much said it all and no it is not particularly warm down here but in comparison to the north we are just fine with 40 and 50 degrees and NONE of that white stuff.

Were north of Arcadia (20 miles) in Wauchula at a Thousand Trails/NACO park. They do have extended stays here for 250.00 a month plus electricty. You do have to belong to TT.

We have our Montana in Tampa at Bay Bayou. Love it there, sadly we are now home (Colin's and Accountant and it's TAX TIME)until May and it's cold here.

We are spending our second winter season at Encore Lake Magic near Disney. We really enjoy this resort and will be back next year for our third visit. We are actually working at Disney Wide World of Sports part time. Gives us something to do and they are quite flexible with our schedule. We are only working two or three days a week. Many of the snowbirds in our park work for the mouse.
