Refrigerator

We just got home from Algonquin Prov. Park and it was fabulous. We traveled with the fridge running on propane and all was fine. We switched over to electricity after we got her level. The next morning the fridge started getting warmer and the freezer melting. I put it back on propane but it wouldn`t work either. The elements were getting hot when on propane or electricity but not cooling the fridge. I shut it off for 2 days and turned it back on with electricity and it worked fine. Traveled home on propane and it worked fine. I have it plugged in now and it is working fine. Anyone have an idea what it might be??

My first thought is to turn it off until you get it checked. I suggest checking to see if it one of the ones recalled. The fridge in our '02 model acted up like yours and then caught on fire and totaled the fifth wheel. We had not been notified of the recall.

Mark -
I agree, check to see if it is recalled. We were in a tornado two years ago and we couldn't get the fridge to even come on. I think we pulled the fuses and reinstalled and its worked fine since.

I`m on the list of recall. My model and serial no. match it. The dealer said to shut it off and don`t use again until repaired which will be Sat. Sept.4th. Looks like coolers for the weekend for pop and beer, I have a little electric fridge in the basement of the 5ver. All have a great Labour Day weekend!!

We had this happen to right after the recall fix. When I called the business that did the service recall he said he thought maybe it just reset itself? We have not had anymore problems ..knock on wood.

Ours was not part of the recall. Did the same thing. Getting a new cooling unit in it as we speak.
