Pin Box #

Does anyone know where to find the extended pinbox number on the Montana? I am trying to cross it to a 5th Airborne pinbox. I can only find a serial number on the mounting frame.

I don't remember where exactly, but there is a small plate somewhere on that pin box with the Lippert number on it. Look at the numbers on the Lippert numbers on the Airborne site and the number you find will match one of them.

Or 05(early) 3670 had the 1621 pin box, we replaced it with the Mor-Ryde

There number is on the front of my extended pin box Lipp 1116, there is also a number on side of the frame to which the pin box bolts too, LCI ####### about 10 digits. They used that number to cross reference the correct box for mine.
Good Luck
I mounted my 5th airborne yesterday, took about two hour with the wiring,I am looking forward to a trip tommorrow. I hope it is as good as everybody says.

Thank you all for your responses. I have been all over that pin box and do not see any numbers at all. Can one of you please take a picture of yourself pointing to the area that you see your number at? I would appreciate it. I am wondering if I even have a Lippert pin box.

DHenry, my 2007 Montana 2955 had the wrong pinbox number from Lippert. If you go to the 5th Airborne website they have a diagram there that you can determine which pin box is the correct one by some measurements which is what I ended up doing after getting the wrong one. You'll love it (the pinbox). Also ask then for one of the airbag valve extenders. You can mount it on the side and it is much easier to check and fill.

Keystone had a problem on their 2007 model year pin boxes ! I just found out from the dealer when trying to fit a 5'th airbore unit. they used the correct pinbox, but stuck the wrong sticker on the unit. I cant rember but he said all we had to do was measure the width fo the pinbox to find the model# of it. Also did someone Paint over your sticker # for the pin box model. They almost did with ours for the pre-delivery touch up, theres losts of overspray on it, but it could easilybe covered up.

The dealer should be able to help. Give him the model and serial number of the Montana. Worked for me.

Thank you all for your responses. I found out I do have a 1621 pin box. Had to figure it out from the measurements on the trailair.com web site.

You would need an Airborne 5ABE-1621

Doug,
I couldn't find any numbers on mine either when trying to replace with the 5th Airborne.

The measurements on their website nailed it down.
