Awning makes noise when closing

Hi. We're newbies with our 2014 Big Sky 3100 RL, and I really enjoy learning from other MOC members in the forum. Lately, I've noticed our awning is making more noise when I close it than what I remember when we bought it. Is there something obvious that I may be overlooking from lubricating any moving parts?

Thanks ahead of time!
Dave

I talked to a factory rep about mine and he told me to get 2 cans of Silicone and spray (soak) all the moving points on the arms.He said trash and etc. collects there and this will flush it out. It did work and the awning is quieter.

I guess that is one more thing to add to the list along with lubing my antenna. The list keeps getting longer.

It is a long list, buy dry silicone spray is the product needed for a lot of things.

Also make certain you loosen the locking screws (small knobs that keep the frame from moving in breezes).

Thanks everyone. I have several cans of silicone that will soon be empty. And yes, Walt, thanks for the reminder about the locking screws. I did forgot a year ago to loosen one of them, and I double-check them every time.
