Galley Tank Valve Location - 08 3400RL
Hi Folks,
We are on our first outing with our new 08 3400RL. So far everything has been fairly smooth and I am learning how to use everything in the rig.
One thing has escaped me so far and that is the location of the valve release for the galley tank. There are two valve release handles in the side compartment (black and grey), but according to the tank sensors I also have a galley tank, which after draining the grey still reads 2/3 full. I know these sensors are notoriously inaccurate, but I figure there is a good chance I have a galley tank and I just can't seem to locate the pull handle for it.
Can anyone here send me in the right direction as reading the manual didn't help much.
TIA!

I believe it is under the large slide or just aft of it.

Try on the drivers side between the wheels.

Ah the infamous galley drain handle! Yup, it's under the large slide on the street side between the wheels! Why you ask??!!!?? Don't ask me, I guess Keystone wanted to put some mystery into their units!
Don't feel lonely on this thread-- it's been asked many a time and for some reason the answer seems to be the same! I bought our Monte from a private party and they told us they had the same problem-- even tore the whole sink plumbing out to see if they could get it to drain to no avail, then found out via two phone calls to look between the wheels. They even called the dealer and the dealer couldn't tell them where it was! Duh!! That was one thing we remembered from our final walk through when they briefed us on it before we pulled it home! Remember to drain the graywaters AFTER you drain the blackwater tank! Washes out the drain better and also the hose! Good luck on your break-in cruise!

One thing you may do after you locate the galley drain valve {between the wheels drivers side] is go to your RV store and get a twist on slide valve that goes on your outside dump about 15 bucks that way you can open your galley and grey it will give you much more storage if you dry camp the two will stay equal

Between the wheels on the '07 so probably the same on the '08, as others said.
Also, when dumping, if you leave the black tank open while dumping the two gray tanks, they'll back up into the black tank helping to flush it out. If you use a clear connector at the dump pipe you'll see the result.

I thought they moved all those handle to the convenience center in 08? Maybe not yet? (anniversary edition feature).

Thanks folks! Finally found it thanks to your input. With my previous trailer things were much simpler...I guess cuz it was so much smaller. It is kinda weird to have the one valve in such an odd location (and not readily visible from under the unit). Oh well, all is good now!
BTW, I tried searching, but did not find a thread that discussed it...went 8 or 9 pages deep before deciding I needed my own post.
Thanks again!

Boy am I glad I found this topic. We're leaving on our maiden voyage Good Friday. Louise kept asking why our other brand had a galley drain valve and this one didn't. Also, our dealer PDI guy didn't know either.
