Mystery Strap
Found this hiding away. It's just over 6' long and has a plastic rod at one end. Any ideas?

They are the pull straps for manual awnings.

For when you might need to extend/retract awning manually.

But you can't put in the awning roller after the awning is rolled up.

Dont throw it out. if your awning motor fails when your awning is out, that strap helps roll the awning in and keeps it from slamming into your unit when you loosen the lock setscrew in the cap. Place the cord in the awning slot in the roller than have some one hold the strap then loosen the screw in the cap and they can slowly guide the roller and awning in.
