Slide Operation Question

I have a 2014 3582RL and have a question about opening my slides. I have noticed that when my slides go out and in they are kind of sluggish. I have started shutting one of the hydraulic valves off and only operate one slide at a time. It really makes the slide go out and back in, much better. I believe it adds much more power to the slide. I really noticed that when you open both slides at the same time the door side really struggles to come out of the lower section of the floor. By just operating the one slide the door side slide comes out much easier. My question is, Am I going to damage anything by opening and closing my slides this way?

Two slides moving at the same time is unusual. Typically they will move one at a time beginning with the slide with the least resistance (typically the lightest), then the next least, until all are extended or retracted. The pump can only produce a certain amount of fluid flow. And if that fluid flow is shared between two slides at the same time, they will both move slower than if only one were moving.

It would not be hurting anything working as they are. But it would not damage anything to do it as you mentioned. That doesn't add more power as such, just directs all the fluid to that slide rather than sharing it.

The slides should work as BB TX says however maybe not all the time. The kitchen and the opposing slide on our 13 3402 try to both come out at the same time as IMO they both weigh about the same. We always operate the slides hooked up to shore power and do not have a problem.Operating on batteries only can cause them to be slow depending on battery strength . BTW Helen always turns off all the slides except the main slide and brings that out slowly and checks the others to make sure nothing has jammed itself under or around a slide .

The slide are plumbed in parallel. Lightest slide moves first. If 2 or more slides weigh the same they will move at the same time, sort of. Pump only has a certain amount of flow. So if one is moving it will be faster than if 2 are moving. heaviest slide moves last
