National Interstate insurance

If you have National Interstate insurance you may want to read this blog by Nick and Terry Russell, publishers of the Gypsy Journal http://gypsyjournal.net/blog

That is Why it is a good idea to have a professional to go over the policy and explain exactly what every clause means. We are always full of questions and "what does that mean" is my favorite question. It took awhile for our Insurance company to convince us that we were covered 'On the road" as well as our Stick home while we were gone. We have letters..

We have had National Interstate since we went full time and had one claim that was our fault.. They were wonderful. We are very happy with them.. Nick has a different kind of claim. I'm sure they will come thru in the end but you have to remember that he did not drop the bus when he added the Winnie.. Full replacement only covers one of the units.

When we had National Interstate, we had one claim and they came through for us, no questions asked. Only reason we're not with them now -- Progressive came through at lesser expense (AON is our rep).

And, his agent is a dud??? This is a direct quote from Nick's blog this AM

"And while I’m appreciative of the other agents, whom I have no business dealings with, for going to bat for us, I’m thoroughly pissed that my own agent, PoliSeek still has ignored us."

I have been following this from the first post, as I read his blog every morning. Go back in his blog and read the first couple of posts of this episode. That agent is sure falling down on the job.

How come it seem to come back to "service" so many times. SIGHHH

We've also had National Interstate insurance on our Montana since February 2003. But we've never had a claim so I can't speak to the service.

You will hear a similar story for every single insurance company. It is impossible to satisfy 100% of the people 100% of the time. National Interstate has a good reputation with the BBB so that is why we chose them. They have also recently added quality road side assistance through Coach-Net also.

I have National Interstate covering my Mountaineer since 2004. I have had two claims with them and also have used their road service. I find National Interstate to be real active in working with you on claims. I had a bent axle on my Mountaineer and my extended warranty company would not cover the repairs. I called National Interstate and faxed them all the details . National Interstate got back with me in less than 24 hrs and the repair facility and agreed to cover the repair of the axle. I also find their road service to be excellent.

I have had National Interstate since I went full time with one claim. I wiped my roof with a tree limb. They took of everything. No complaints.

I've not read the article but after my recent excellent experience with National Interstate I have to remember when someone writes about a bad experience, well, maybe there's two sides to that story. On the other hand, I've not read the article.

As some of you know, back in early April we blew a tire on Interstate 8 in San Diego and did about $2100 damage to the rig. National Interstate asked me who I want to take it to. I took it to the Montana Dealer, which is Camping World in San Marcos. CW sent the requested pictures and estimates to NI. Within hours of receipt I heard from NI they'd approved the estimate. CW wanted money up front for the parts from Keystone before they'd order the parts so to expedite I paid for that and all other charges by CW. On the day the repairs were done, NI put a check, in full, in the mail, to me. It was a "single payor" check meaning it was made out only to me. Not CW. I had the check a few days later and it has been deposited. I had the disappearing deductible feature so didn't even have to pay a deductible. I have had only this one claim with NI but am VERY pleased with their service. They had a single adjuster assigned to my case and that's the person I dealt with directly.
