Food for Thought for Newbies - wet bolts
Might want to do a little investigation and learn about wet bolts for you 5er to keep your travels on plan and not in break down. My '17 did not have wet bolts but did have brass bushings - my neighbor had wet bolts and plastic bushings - did not know it. Travel one day his unit start dart to the side when he hit a bump. Had to find a repair place to replace bushing - later he replaced all the wet bolts as most would not take grease. The heavy duty kits also provide thicker shackles, wet bolts and brass bushings. Worth looking up - an ounce of prevention …

I upgraded to the Morryde wet bolts with brass bushings and heaver shackles about 10 years ago and replace the wet bolts that would not take grease 2 years ago. I am very pleased with them.

The wet bolts and bronze bushing on my unit that came from the factory were completely worn out when I purchased it used. I replaced the entire suspension including the springs. Nothing lasts forever.

Maintenance of the wet-bolts with brass bushings is one of the several maintenance items like the hot water heater anode that MUST get done on a regular basis. The result of poor maintenance is failure of an important part of the RV--the trailer part in regards to wet bolts! It is easy to not perform these tasks unless the owner is careful about all maintenance. I am guessing that I am just a little on the extreme side about checking the items that a visual inspection will not work. Hope everyone has a safe travel season!

One thing about it, if parts are wearing out that means they are being used!

Just upgraded our 2017 3750FL to the heavy duty wet bolt kit.. We only have about 10,000 miles (99% highway) on our rig... I was amazed at the deterioration on the original parts... The bolt holes in the shackles were worn OVAL... the brass/bronze bushings were worn paper thin on one side.....
Glad I changed them out... we are about to do a 1,000 mile trip... I didn't need to be stuck on the side on I-95.. or I-81 or anywhere else............

Wet bolts are good to have, but they're no infallible, so close inspection is still required.

i Have an 05 and don't see a designation of which years they fit. Are they universal?

Replaced my bolts last month...only about 2000 miles on our trailer and I too was amazed at the condition of our bushings...while not as worn as yours, I still saw far more wear than I expected. I highly recommend calling MORryde to ensure you get the correct kit, they were very friendly and helpful.

It means that the head of the bolt has a grease zerk in it and there is a channel that leads to center of the bolt. Using a grease gun you can lube the center of the bolt. If there is no zerk then it is called a dry bolt.

They are the bolts that hold on the shackles, or hangers, for your spring suspension. The bolts have zerk fittings so they can be greased
Do a google search...you'll see

I have 2019 3931fb and I have 3 zerk fitting that I can't get grease into I've tried lifting frame to release preasure on springs still did't take grease. I though of warming the grease fitting but wasn't sure if brass or plactic bushing. So I called Lippert and I have brass he also told me to turn the bolt a little, that might help. any other suggestion. thanks in advance.

there is a device that oil is put in, then connects to grease zerk and you hit it with a hammer - used on farm equipment. If not in a hurry, pull the bolt, make sure passage is clear and re-install with opening at 3 or 9 position. Make sure to mark head of bolt for future reference - properly torque nut onto bolt.
