Ever had a ESP experience? - Montana Owners Club

This story is true. It changed the way I view life.

It happened in 1974 and I was 23 years old. I was driving to work in my 1973 Cougar XR7. I was working 4-12 shift in a Papermill and it was about 3:30 in the afternoon. I was approaching a small bridge that had a very bad curve just before it. As I approached the bridge, a voice in my head yelled for me to stop and it was like the control of the car was taken away from me and I had no choice but to stop. Seconds later a large flatbed trailer coming the other way lost it's load of plate steel right on the corner. The steel slid off the truck like a deck of cards. It would have cut my car into pieces and me with it.
The approach to the bridge was blind and I never saw the truck when I was forced to stop by something controlling my mind.

Was it my Guardian Angel and was it not my time to die? I have told many people of this experience over the years and I have found it is not that uncommon to have been saved from death by some unknown power.

Have any of you had similar experiences?

I have had something like that while driving only instead of near death experience it was with the police. I don't normally drive with the cruise on while towing the trailer and tend to not pay as much attention to how fast I am going until there is something ahead of me or creeping up behind me. I have on a couple of occasions caught myself going way too fast for towing a trailer. But the funny thing is I have caught myself going way to fast and said to the DW as I let off the accelerator that she needs to hit me when I am going to fast and slow down to 55 and go over the next hill and there sits Smokey bear all ready with the radar gun and everything. Someone was watching out for me as I was probably going close to 70 less than a mile before.

My experience, while not a life-threatening experience, was so clear that it was eerie. Our oldest son was getting ready for braces on his teeth. X-rays had been taken. While still at home, an inner voice said to me, "Brett, has some spots on his jaw but there's nothing to worry about." Later that day, as part of the treatment, I met with the dentist who showed me his x-rays. His words, "Brett has some spots on his jaw but there's nothing to worry about." Our daughter was going through the same application but there was no premonition for her. I guess this was an emotional protection rather than a physical protection.

Interesting subject.

I think we all have a Guardian Angel with us if we would just take the time to listen. I know that about five years ago while coming back from Florida in mid April, we were on
I-35 trying to get home that day. Shortly after going through Des Moines it started to snow. Another 50 miles or so further, something told us to get off the highway and wait out this storm. Right after we got off they closed the freeway and while we were sitting in a restaurant attached to the motel we decided to stay at, they started to bring in the people that were hurt. Yes, right up the road about 5 miles there was a 20 vehicle pile-up with three people getting killed. Sure are glad we heard our Angels down here.

I have a similar story. I dreamt for three nights in a row that a retired gentlemen who I had done private nursing for called me to tell me he was having chest pain. On the third morning, I told Steve about my dream and that I was worried about him. Hours later the phone rang, it was someone calling to tell me he'd had a heart attack and was in the hospital.
I have had this kind of thing happen more than once; Steve says I am wierd...

My daughter was saved from death but I know the Power. When she was little we were told she would not live past 15 due to malfunctioning kidneys. This was in the days when only adult family could donate kidneys and they wouldn't let me due to previous kidney problems. She had horrible infections. We moved to a different area and had to find a new doctor to administer the medications she needed. She had been seen by every specialist in California to no avail. When I got the phone book out to call, the first number was busy, the second number was not seeing new patients, the third number was a new young doctor who had just finished his residency at a Urology Hospital back east. He said, I'd like to see her. Long story short he knew of a new surgery, 10% chance of working, worked 100% and she just had her 49th birthday. She is also in her 7th year of cancer survival and I told her when she was diagnosed that God worked really hard saving her the first time and He wasn't going to let her die this soon!

I had a dream about a friend I had not seen in quite a while and so I emailed her and asked if she was okay - she was not. She was having terrible pain in her legs and having troubles working with it. It touched both of us - she needed me back in her life.

I have always had a connection with my Mom, whenever I call her she says "You always do this to me I was going to call you later today". Never fails.

All great replies and Sue, I am so glad to hear your daughter is still alive and well and what a tough time you must have went through. People with sick children have my utmost support because we all love our kids and we all want to be out lived by them. It is said when a parent loses a child, it is truly a freak of nature and one of life's biggest heartbreaks.

This may be a little different than ESP but it is something I will never forget. I lost both my parents in 7 months time. About a year after my mom passed away, my little granddaughter was playing in my back yard. She was only a toddler and was just a baby when my mother passed away. I was watching her play and all of a sudden I saw the image of my mother's face on little Ellie's face! It was so eerry! My husband and my sister both think she is just like my mother. She comes up with expressions that sound like something my mother would say! My mother was very spunky as a child and Ellie is the same way. If I was imagining it, why did it seem so real to me? I must admit, it is very comforting to me.

Years ago living in Fairbanks, I was coming home from my first shift on a crisis line program late at night. I had a suicide caller for my very first call that night, it turned out OK and the police got to the man prior to his hurting himself, but was none the less very upsetting. I came up to a set of railroad tracks that had only a signal and no cross bars. I don't remember crossing the tracks, but found myself stopped and shaking as the train went behind me. I know that something saved my life that night. I often wonder if I am doing what I'm supposed to do with this second chance. Iam one lucky gal!

Mine was just plain eerie. While in kindergarten my Mom asked me why so glum when putting me to bed. I told her Johhy set the field on fire. Johnny was my best friend and lived a couple of blocks away. Sure enough, next day we found out Johnny was playing with matches in the field next to his house and set it on fire.

We had something happen that did not surprise me, but surprised Don.
After we got home from the IN rally.

I have a close friend in SC and talk to her every weekend. During conservation she asks me if Don had found his keys. She said they were in the truck. I had not told her about him losing his house keys. She tells me things like this all the time. He did find them in the truck.
We had been looking for them for a week!

Everyone has a "Guide" or "Guarding Angel"

Also people and family that have gone on before us do visit us.

Have a saying in the family history realm, if a relative dies, it is a really good time to review the research on his or her family. Do it as soon as possible after the death. Some brick walls and amazing discoveries about family have been found by researchers I know (including moi!) doing this.

Another saying, they will be found when they are ready to be found. On several occassions I have not been able to locate a family I want to find, so abandon the search. Go back in months, or even a couple of years later and they nearly jump up at cha!

You may be reviewing sources you have already looked at till ya is blue in the face, but they were not ready to be found and it is like you are looking at the records for the first time.

I believe there is stuff we just have no handle on, call em vibes, call em messages from the other side, call it whatever you want. It is scientifically unproven, but our hearts tell us it is so. Call em angels, we just LOVE that description! Don't question it, accept it, smile, and enjoy it.

I have heard "experience" described as a series of non fatal mistakes.

Perhaps the reasons they are non fatal are one of life's wonderful mysteries.

Well this was weird..A couple of Years ago my Dad was very sick due to Alzheimer's. Helen and I were visiting him at the hospital.He was fairly alert and although he did not know who we were he was glad to have visitors. He said he had other visitors that day..we asked who..he said his Brother Sam and his Mother had been there and had just left, His Mother had been dead for 40 years, his Brother 15 years. He said they said they would be back and they were all going on a trip..He passed away that evening.
