Thanks Don,

Love page 7 that says tailpipe emmissions will be cleaner than intake in some cities - pretty soon they'll be spitting flowers out the back.

I'm gonna be envious of the new pony power in this one now that I decided to buy early to avoid it.

Will this new engine burn the same fuel?? I continue to wonder why on diesel pumps, especially those that are the ULSD, state to not burn the fuel in 2007 or newer vehicles. Is there a newer fuel coming out too? Are we going to have to start looking for special places for our current diesel needs as more and more newer trucks are made?

Native Tex,

I get the impression that as of January 1, the fuel will change at the pump to the 15ppm sulfer content. The new trucks require it, and the old ones run on it.

Chatted with the Ford Service Manager yesterday when making my appt - he said it should be no problem with the 6.0, but the 7.3 is going to suffer in performance and mileage a little. Sometimes they are self made experts - but the most reliable at the time.

He also told me to watch out for the Bio-Diesel and only run 20% at a time in the tank. (not that I use it) They were having filter problems with the local fleet trucks here.
