US 6 conditions?
Next week we will be leaving, w/o Monte, for Highlands Ranch, Colorado and La Grange, California. Looking at the mapping program it shows taking I 70 west from Colorado to US 6. It looks like US 6 is a secondary. We thought we would just take I 25 north to Chyenne, Wy. to pick up I 80 and than west. Is anyone familiar with US 6?

Dick,
I've only been on the very western part of highway 6 but it was a very nice road. Highway 50 wouldn't be a bad road to take. We've been on it several times from the Reno area to the Central Valley. If you want a really scenic route take the 50 west to the 49 and then south to the La Grange area. Have a great trip. Dennis
