Stackable Washer/Dryer
Of the the folks using a stackable washer and dryer has there been any problems with hoses loosing and leaking after a time when on the road full time. We are considering building a shelf to separate the units to allow access to the hoses but we are not sure if we want to or need to go through trouble or expense of doing that. We have the Majestics, and so far no problems but we haven't been on the road that much yet either. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

John, we put about 50k miles on the 3295RK and never had a leak at the w/d. It still wouldn't hurt to have some way to access it just in case.

I seriously considered the shelf - however the complication of installing one without knowing what is behind the walls steered me away. I ended up getting the stacking kit (Splendide) which makes the dryer removable in a snap. I trust the hoses are as equal to the rest of the plumbing in the rig, so I'm not going to worry about them. I will just leave the valves open, and pull the dryer in the spring to check the vent and hoses and call it a year.

Brad,
Do you think the Splindide stacking kit would work with the Majestic?
We are at the dealer right now through tomorrow and will ask about it.
Please check for a personal e mail. Thanks
John

wa4bmg, We ordered our Splendide Ariston while in the RGV and picked it up in Mesa Arizona at Camping World. While waiting for the install, we were talking to the service department manager. He made the comment that CW has had a lot of problems with the Majestic machines and was going to discontinue them. I try not to comment on thing that I haven't owned but I just wanted you to know. We also have had the Splendide Combo and haven't had any problems with water leaks. The book does tell you that you should turn them off when not in use. We don't, for one we can't get to the valve without removing the dryer, which is very easy. We do have another valve behind our shore power and valves for our tanks. Its called a manifold system, were we can turn off any water system like the sinks, Washer, shower, etc. Thats a great feature. Good luck....GBY....

John, we used to have the new Majestic stack in this 3400. It had some kind of rack. It was all installed by our dealer so there is one that works. Email me and I'll give you the phone number of the dealer and you can ask what they used with the Majestic stack.

John,
The Splendide bracket will not work on Majestic. The bracket attaches to parts specifically designed on the base of the dryer that the Majestic won't have.
Hopefully Steve's lead on a Majestic bracket will help.

Steve, how did you all make out in the Noreaster. We had about 3 inch of rain and some wind. The rest of Sunday was clear but very very windy even up until late last night. Hope all is well.
Safe travels!

It started Saturday and hopefully will end this evening. We're not flooded out but there are lots of big puddles. And a branch from a big pine tree that I thought cleared the rig by plenty is rubbing the roof. Actually, it's the pine cones on that branch that are occasionally rubbing when we get a strong gust of wind. I guess pine cones must soak up the rain and the heavier weight dropped that branch. I climbed the roof and it's not doing any damage.
