Proportional Brake Controller

There is a brake controller out there that provides trailer braking in direct proportion to the TV brake pressure. The install has a sensor in the trucks brake line instead of just to the brake lite. The wagonmaster on our tour this summer had one and swears by it. I drove it out of his parking spot and it seemed very responsive.

From a technicl standpoint, the idea makes sense to me rather than deriving an artificial calculation based on a pendulum accelerometer like Prodigy does.

Does anyone have experience with this type of controller?

I have the Jordon also and it does a great job. The one Dave is talking about is the Brakesmart and every report I've read on it has been very positive.

If you can afford it, it probably works well. MSRP $435.00

Brakesmart is the one I was referring to. Actually $435 is a better price than I had heard. Now, how bad do I need it? It is awful to be a gadget freak.
