If the awnings are wound too tight, they can cause the slide to drag on the floor too much when they are moving. Tehy can cause the slide to tilt when moving. So be careful.

Agreed, you don't want them too tight, just enough so there is no sag. My point was after time they do stretch a bit so its nice to know you can tighten them as needed. I have come to the point with rvs to check everything because there is no quality control.
