Best Full Timing RV

This might not be the best place to ask this question but since I'm a member here it goes. We've been full timing for seven years in our Montane 3661RL. The unit is 40' long, loaded and a great camper. We recently purchased a condo, dw is coming off the road but not me (for now). I need to down size this 40' 5th wheel. I'm looking for a 28' trailer with just the basics but hopefully will give me the quality I've had with the 3661RL. The 28 footer doesn't need to be a keystone or Montana product.. I'm looking for a reliable 28' camper. Thanks for your input.

Based on our search for a 30'- 32' range 5th wheel last year, there will be extremely few choices in a 28' 5er. If you do find one, it will be an entry level unit and far from quality.

We had to jump up to 34' to 36' range to get away from the entry level units with tiny appliances and holding tanks. Our 2010 30' Wildcat was the perfect size for our type and style of camping. Nothing even close to it's build quality, cabinetry, appliances or holding tank size available last year in anything under 34'. (At least not in the east of the US.) I certainly wish a manufacturer would bring back a higher appointed 5er in the 30' range.

I would look at the Northwood Fox Mountain or Arctic Fox lines. They are well built with a good rep.

They cost about the same as a larger Montana.

You might consider a Class C Motorhome
We have both the Montana and a C if I was going solo I’d definitely be in the C
