Emergency light

2010 Montana 3400RL. It’s happened twice now that we’ve come back to the camper and our spotlight on the door side is on and won’t turn off with the switch. I did learn on this forum that if you turn on this light with the remote, you have to turn it off with the remote. Figured the first time that DW accidentally turned it to rummaging in the junk drawer for something. I moved the remote so that wouldn’t happen again. Last night it did it again. So my question to all you is how this emergency light can come on by itself? The remote does turn it off.

Maybe someone close to you has a remote on the same frequency as yours? Been known to happen.

We don't use our remote either. More trouble that its worth. In your front compartment you should find the brains or the system (maybe above the batteries). Mine is up high on the off door side. Its a small black box with quite a few wires going to it. I would think it would have a power wire that you could disconnect to abandon the system. Just guessing.
