Slide Carpet

I have a 2019 3120RL and when I bring the dinette slide in all the way the edge of the carpet hits the island and curls under about 2 inches, does anyone else have the same issue?

It's not a big deal just takes awhile to lay down flat and not to trip over it.

Our 2016 3160 does the same thing. The carpet curls up about 2 inches with the slide in. The carpet does lie flat when after the slide is extended.

Mine does the same thing. We have also noticed lately that there is some white gunk (sealant maybe) under the carpet that sticks to the flooring when slid in/out.

Our SOB does the same thing, so it's not unique to Montanas

Same for us, no damage and carpet takes about 2 hours to flatten after slide goes out

Yep, our 2018 3120RL does this as well. It does finally lay flat, and I'm not sure how to address it. Likely just having to live with it I guess.

Jimmy Hoffa carpet

We (DW) and I just purchased a 2019 3120RL in May (ordered) and had the carpet roll up feature installed. Itís wonderful, one of the better features offered... Yep, ours does the same thing, a uniqueness to the Monty. We hold the carpet up and lay it against the island. I suppose after a few years, the carpet will soften enough that it will not be an issue, or my CDO (because OCD is not in the right order), Iíll mod the carpet...

I am going to have it repaired when I get to Loveland, co.

in the mean time customer service for keystone
recommended slide skids.
they are made by LVT the slide people.
cost 40 bucks on ebay.

Our carpet does this also in our 3731FL. Ours got grit under it and gouged the flooring before we even took delivery. Dealer replaced flooring prior to demo and cautioned us to make sure floor is clear before running slides in. We always check under carpet for sand or gravel before closing up. The carpet thing is not an issue as it will lay down flat after about an hour. Had the same thing on our former SOB. The carpet overlap does seem necessary.

Our 3121RL does the same. We just bought a rug runner that goes from the edge of the couch to the island. Just rolls up before we run the slides in.

My definition of a rug runner is a carpeted mat with a "rubber" backing that is longer than it is wide. Ours is 30" x 84". It is slip resistant so it doesn't slide on the floor. When unrolled it lays flat. This is important so not to be a trip hazard. Hope this helps.
