second is a blue bird in process, will be mounted on a flower and branch made from brass, with brown-eyed susan flowers

3rd is a mallard drake with the base coat on

4th is a Red Headed woodpecker

thanks for looking and Everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

thank you Lisa, I have 5 different woodpeckers at our feeders (suet mostly) there are so many different birds including geese and mallards right here at my rv lot. Guess its because there are 4 different large lakes here around me some no more then 5 to 10 miles and one right behind my property. thanks again

Wayne, I also look foward to our meeting one day. And it would never be a bother, might even let you carve with my favorite knife!! I make my own carving knives and they are very very sharp! Just ask John Hogan, lol! thanks Wayne, take care

Hey Wayne I can say TOM does hand make great carving knives... AND THEY ARE SHARP!!!!!! Tom was nice enough to make me a few of these fine carving knives. Now if a darn bird will stand still long enough for me to carve it.. My wife said six to eight hours is just too much to ask of a bird to stand that still. ha ha Oh, can you do it another way.. ha ha
THANKS AGAIN TOM

Beautiful work.
My last carving was in November, I did a turkey, then ate it.

Tom41

We were lucky enough to win the carving you made for the fall rally. Our daughter even picked our ticket (reminds me we still owe her for doing that). The woodpecker is sitting on top of our computer desk and thought you might enjoy seeing where it landed.
