Glides vs skis

So I’ve heard a lot about slide skis. I’ve paid some attention because I do have an early water damage problem to address. The husband is hearing about slide out glides. Are these two things the same?

Well for the interior, to protect the floor there are "slide slickers" (Amazon or search the forum to make your own). Basically strips to lay on the floor before you bring in the slides to prevent the slide grinding a pebble into the linoleum, or prevent a nail from doing the same thing.

For the Outside, there is Chucks Darco repair.
There is a copy in the files section
