Hydraulic landing gear

WE HAVE A NEW NEIGHBOR IN THE PARK, JUST BOUGHT AN '06 CAMBRIDGE. IT HAS THE HYDRAULIC LANDING GEAR, WE'RE HAVING TROUBLE LEVELING IT. I'VE NOT HAD A CHANCE TO PLAY WITH THIS TYPE OF SYSTEM BEFORE. THE PROBLEM IS AS WE LOWER THE GEAR, THE PORT JACK WILL CONTACT THE GROUND, IT STOPS MOVING UNTIL THE STARBOARD JACK CATCHES UP. THEN WE'RE OUT OF LEVEL ON THE RIG. WE'RE STILL OUT OF SIDE TO SIDE LEVEL BY ABOUT 2 INCHES IN THE FRONT. FRONT TO BACK WE'RE RIGHTON THE BUBBLE. ANY SUGGESTIONS??

SORRY, MY BETTER HALF SAYS I SHOULD TO EXPLAIN MY TERMINOLGY.
PORT = LEFT
STARBOARD = RIGHT

SOMETIMES IT HARD TO BRAKE OLD HABITS,THANKS............T

Are you talking about the full automatic landing system? Or are you talking about just the front landing legs are hydraulic? If you are talking full auto front and back and side to side then the system should simply level itself after you push the button or switch.

If it is semi-automatic then you control things from your little remote control module. That is a little more challenging but very doable. Just a little practice. We watched Sharon (GypsySCM) set her semi automatic levelers up one time. Wow! Is that nice. It does take a bit of practice but sure beats boards under the wheels.

If you still can't figure it out call Lippert or whoever makes the lifts. They'll be able to tell you how to work them.

MOC members "Dave e Victoria" have the Cambridge also and might be able to help. If they don't see this thread maybe you could search the member list and email them for help. I'm sure they'd be willing to help. I don't know if they're on the road right now.
