Need electrical Info

We have a 2002 3295 RK. I have asked this question many times and can not find an absolute answer. I have a Generac 4500 generator One of the connections to it is a 4 blade twist connector. There are 2- 110 V wires, a common and a ground in the connector. I wrote to cust. service and they told me that only 110 Volts goes into the rig.I agree with that BUT.....If you measure across the two 110 volt legs you will see 220 Volts. There are 2 main breakers in the rig. I assume that one is for each 110 V leg. Is this true?
I don't understand why this a difficult question. Each leg is from a different phase which is normal!
Any comment's?
thanks in advance.
Bill

Bill, yes the 2 main breakers are for each 110v leg. Your measurements across the 2 110v legs is correct. 220v. What exactly are you doing? Hooking it up to the 5ver? Paul
