Travel map

Where to do get the US map with states we have traveled to colored in? Also, Canadian provinces? I'd like to use it when we post to the forum, as well as in our blog. I'd appreciate anyone's help on this.

http://www.epgsoft.com/VisitedStatesMap/

Fill it out at that site. Then save it to a website like www.tinypic.com or www.photobucket.com . I'd recommend photobucket if you don't already have your own webspace. You have to join photobucket but it's free and the pictures will stay in your album indefinitely. At tinypic they will drop off at some time of unknown duration.

When you add the picture to either site, copy (usually click and the ctrl-c or edit/copy) the url that has the img tags [*img*] without the asterisks. Paste that url into the signature block in your profile (click the profile link at the top of the page).

Post back if you run into any problems.

I guess I had this thread open too long and Glenn's post got in their first. Both links, his and mine, go to the same place.

Procedural question---When you fill in the map, do you fill in only the states you have camped in in your current rig OR do you fill in the states that you have camped in in your previous rigs AND your current rig? Just curious.

It can be whatever you want it to be. Some include each state they have been in in their Montana. For us, it's just the states in which we have slept in our Montana since beginning our fulltiming. Some of the states not colored on our map we were in prior to fulltiming. Your choice as to how it works best for you.

Imp, I had this map on my laptop prior to hearing about the visitedstates site. It is 231x175 (to be same height as the picture) and about 12k.

It's your choice. We only paste in the states if we have slept there.

In our case..If we have been there in relation to a camping rip ....it is on the map.We ask ourselves the question... If we were not camping, would we be here..Also we look at the vehicle we are driving..if it is one of the Honda's..we are not pulling a camper..
