5TH WHEEL GARAGE

Has anyone seen what they call a garage that attaches to the front of the 5th Wheel underneath the bedroom and encloses that entire area? I saw one on a Montana the other day but I could not find out where he got it. He used snaps attached to the 5th Wheel and to a piece of vinyl material that hung from the trailer to the ground. Hid everthing he had stored in that area.

Alan,

Gofnuts had one of those installed this year while we were in Quartzsite. You might drop them a note and see what they think about the thing.

Good luck,

We have one purchased at CW this year. Use it on long stays like our winter stay here in Florida Provides a lot of storage space and keeps "stuff" out of the compartments. A unexpected advantage is that it keeps the front closet/ bedroom warmer by keeping cold air and wind away from the pin box and front compartment. IMO a good thing for long stays.

We had a full skirt made for our 3400 with a separate storage under the front with a door, have spent 2 winters in it and the skirt really makes a huge difference in warmth and all the storage area! Had it made in Loveland,Co. by Curt Miller, still holding up well

I have the one from CW and highly recommend it. Great for storage and I have noticed the BR is a little warmer. Anchors to the ground also with stakes and grommets for a semi rigid skirt (won't blow away either). Even has side zipper doors to enter the "Garage".

Phil & Rich, which size fits the 3400??? We have considered these for years for our seasonal time, we think now is the time. The ability to provide a little more warmth to the bedroom area will be a bonus.

Take your tape measure out and measure the overhang. Our Big Sky will take the largest size... Dave

DarMar, As I recall there are three sizes and, If I remember correctly, ours is the larger, maybe 290 inches or so. If you install yourself, start from the middle and work out to the sides. I did have a grommet pull out on my first one and CW replaced it. The second one doesn't fit as well as the first so I think the snaps must be a little different on each one. I didn't bother repositioning the snaps on the trailer....

Thanks Phil, saved me a trip to the storage shed, in the cold, wasn't sure what I might be measuring anyway. About those snaps for the grommets are they fastened with screws or????

Darwin, the male portion of the snap just screws into the side of the trailer, drill first, screw second. Female is attached to the fabric already. There is a cutout portion that goes around your pin box, that's where you start the process.

Also, measure TWICE, drill ONCE!!!! You will really like it....
