Quartzsite Picture

For all of you at our get together on January 28th in Quartzsite, here is a picture taken by the ultralite flying over. I'm hoping I am posting this correctly.

rphoward,
Ray and Howard you do have the picture posted correctly. Well it is much too large but since this is your first post we'll let it slide for a day or so. Also for your info this picture is already available under one of the Quartzsite threads. But thank you for posting. It is a really nice picture.

Got to say, this is one time when I appreciate high speed net and a large photo, the detail in this is so great, I enjoyed seeing this version of the photo. I see a number of gas cans for generators, lawn chairs, people waving, and I think I see a direcway and a directv satelitte! You guys were having way too much fun!

Gotta ask, seeing that we have not been that far west, is the dirt hard?? or is it soft?? Does it get in the rigs?? Looks pretty hard to me, but would like to know.

Roofs look pretty clean, congrats. I don't see 2 air conditioners on any of the units, a bit surprised by that, I would have figured a few of ya had more than 1.

Real interesting photo! Like I said, I know I have come out in favor of all photos being under 30,000 bytes, but, I really enjoyed this one!

CountryGuy - The ground is mostly natural gravel. If you stir it around you end up with a very fine dust. In other areas of Quartzsite it was very dusty when the wind blew. Which was almost always. Where we were it was less dusty. As for 2 AC we never go RVing anyplace that hot. We have never had ours on other than just testing it. It was HamRad and FireTrucker that had the space age communications for us. Would I go back to Quartzsite ?. It was fun and had a great time with some wonderful people.

You're right, Carol. We can even see the Palm Trees, made famous at the Reno rally.

That was one of the very first things I had looked at when I saw this picture. I wondered why nobody had the 2nd a/c on your rig? It is a great pic and I can only say while you all were down there have fun, I was de-icing my windows and pluggin in my diesel to make the winter starting easier. =) Glad you all had a good time.

Great picture, Ray and Pam. To help you with downsizing it I took the liberty of making it fit within MOC guidelines. You can edit your post (use the pencil icon above your post) and change the url to this one: http://tinypic.com/view/?pic=o90286 but put the img tags around it like you did the first one.

It looks like this:
