Now we "done it".........

It must be something in the air, or the weather change or?????
Yes, we "done went and did it"....bought a new 3400RL. We currently have a 2007 3400RL. We were actually looking at the Heartland Bighorns (GASP) but kept going back to the new "H.E." 3400. We still love the floorplan, and have really liked ours. Sooooo.......the dealer had a new 2011 one on the lot, the "Hickory Edition" with most all the bells and whistles. I like the improvement on the mechanical side of things, and the DW loves the interior and the more subtle improvements. Not a huge change, but enough that it made us "make the decision" to buy. We're trading in the old 3400. Dealer (Curtis Trailers in Portland, OR) is giving us a "fair shake" and we've been happy with them before. Our inaugural run/break-in will be to Memaloose state park in May. Kind of a tradition with us. And now we won't have to deal with replacing the peeling graphics, either. We'll see how the new one does!!!

A new Monty! Nothing like it. Let the mods begin! I think it's a testament to the 3400RL that you chose to buy another one. Best of luck with it!

Glad you were able to get yours off the lot and I wish you happy memories on your Maiden Voyage this month. Trouble is, with us nobody had our model yet, a #3700 and we got to custom order ours. I called Keystone this morning and they have extended our "off line" until 5/11. By the time it comes offline, they do their inspection and then arrange for delivery to California, then we go there to pick it up...it may be time for the fall Rally! I guess they are taking their sweet time so I better just stay calm. Only trouble is we are in Phoenix area Arizona and it's getting HOT! Anyway enjoy your new unit

Congrats! Just don't tell my wife. We also have a 2007 3400 and I am trying to trick her into thinking that we still have 2-3 more years on it yet...

Well, we thought so too. But, it was actually DW that made the choice. She loved the Hickory woodwork, the new pendant lights over the counter, the changed location of the vent fan in the bathroom, and she especially loved the new color/style of the carpet. Plus, the extra deep storage cabinets in the kitchen were a big seller too. Even the mattress is changed; it has the Keystone logo on it, and it is much heavier/thicker and has a pillow top to boot! Very comfy. I, of course, liked all the new mechancial goodies, such as the remote, the electric rear stabilizers (no more bending over and cranking) the new electric distribution center, and a host of other things that just made the change worth it. It wasn't planned, but we figured you only go around once!!
