Fresh water tank overflow

In NC during recent concerns for power and water outages from Hurricane Matthew, I filled the fresh water tank. Figured it was full when water came out of the overflow. So i stopped filling the tank. Next day, my wife noticed a lot of water in the front bedroom around the closet to the washer dryer combo. It seems water has came out of the washing machine hookups with the washer hooked up. That is the only place I could tell where it could have entered. These wasn't any water in the basement so I was a bit confused.
. I have never filled the tank full prior to this and have never noticed any leaking water when running the washing machine.

Thank you, in advance for any helpe

Are you running the washer with the grey tank valve closed and not realizing the tank is full maybe? Storm rain water leak not noticed till now? There are only 4 lines on a fresh water tank. Power fill / vent / drain / supply to pump.

No storm water ever noticed. Gray tank wasn't full and I sometimes leave gray valve open and sometimes closed.

Only thing different is that I filled fresh water tank completely.

First thought of storm rain but water was present around the washer dryer hookup and then on the carpet down to the bed

Baffled as well on your issue. Connections to washer should be water tight or you would have had problems before. Washer valves inside machine should be closed by electronics, so no draining possible and then should only be in tub. Fresh water tank being filled can't climb to same level as washer hookups unless pushed by pump. Got to be unrelated to filling tank. John

John,
Thank you. I am confused by this as well. Think I will try filling the tank again tomorrow while my wife stands watch inside.
