converter/ charger not working

I think my converter is shot on the charging side as the electrical system blows the shore power breaker when the batteries are hooked up when unhooked the 120V circuit works fine. I am looking at a Progressive Dynamics converter to replace the Iota one is a 45 amp or 6o amp one better.
